I went into the field of counselling out of a belief that talking helps people find healing. I use an eclectic approach that combines experiential therapy with relational therapy. Clients best know their feelings and needs, but it can take guidance to get in touch with these. I am experienced in counselling individuals, parents, and families. Through my own life experiences with loss, pain, anxiety, and questioning, I have truly come to believe in the power of therapy from the client standpoint.
As a mother myself, I care about supporting women through difficult times like pregnancy, fertility challenges, miscarriage, grief, and all stages of parenthood. I do a lot of empowering work and focus on messages we carry with us, unique growth, and increasing self-compassion.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change and want you to feel comfortable sharing anything.
In addition to finding a good fit, it is important to seek counselling from a trained/registered professional. In addition to a Masters in Counselling Psychology, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC, have completed training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), the Enneagram, Complex Care for Trauma, Sandtray Therapy (Satir), and Perinatal Mental Health with a focus on reproductive and birth trauma.
